HATS off to HATS

£900 to good causes

At the Village Market on 8th March HATS (Hatch Amateur Theatre Society) presented donations to the Village Hall, St John’s Parish Church, Hatch Beauchamp and S.U.R.E (Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment)

A donation of £300 was made to each from the proceeds of the production of ‘Ski Whizz’ held in the garden of Oakfield House last summer. The cheques were presented by Chrissie Williams to Mike Humphrey for the Church, by David Derbyshire to Donna Davies for the Village Hall and by Gill Derbyshire to Carole Summerfield, the Treasurer of S.U.R.E. - see photo.

At the presentation Chair of HATS David Derbyshire said, “We wanted to make the presentations at a village event in order to thank all our friends and supporters for coming along to see the play and helping us make these donations possible.”

HATS are currently deciding on the production for this coming summer and will confirm soon either the weekend of 27th and 28th June or 4th and 5th July for the date. More details in the May magazine. In the meantime please check with us if you need to firm up one of those dates before you hear from us! For this, anything else you would like to know about the group or if you would like to help with the summer show in any way please get in touch with us.
