Donations to SURE this week are £427.86 from the Beacon Centre which included donations of £295.80 from Mike Sutton and £55 from Gloria Paisley. £20 from Mr & Mrs Snell, £2.75 in 5ps from Alan Sutton and £7.11 from the Bishops Lydeard Post Office Collection Box.
The total donations is £457.72

Donations this past week are £137.65 from the 5p collection at the Beacon Centre which includes £17.30 from the Friends of Bradford on Tone. £80 from the Alcombe Methodist Church, £75 from a staff raffle at the South Somerset Partnership School, Yeovil. The collection box at the Galmington One Stop Shop raised £12.25.
The total donations this week is £304.90.

Donations this week are £500 from Mrs Janet O'Neill and friends in memory of her daughter Bridget O'Neill who passed away in March 2019, £150 from the Wellington Aqua Social Group raised at their Christmas Raffle and from the same group was £63.75 in 5ps, £41.70 from the collection pot at the Golden Chip shop in Norton Fitzwarren, and £26.70 from the collection pot at the Bridgwater Car Auctions, £90 from the Retired Employees Association (REA) following a talk given bu a SURE representative, and left at the Beacon Centre was £25 from Tara Major, daughter of William (Bill) Duke, raised by holding a Body Shop raffle, £30 in 5ps from Sue Tett and friends of Bridgwater, £17.90 from the Bridgwater Bowling Club and from the Beacon Centre was £122.75 mainly in 5ps.

Donations this week are £380 from Mrs Becky Webber of the Fountain Inn Bridgwater which was raised by holding a Valentine Evening of fun with a "Mr & Mrs"  competition hosted by Mr Phil 'Elvis Presley' Venning, there was also £32.50 collected from a SURE pot, £41.67 from the collection pot from Londis in Bridgwater, £7.08 from the AmazonSmile programme  and from the Beacon Centre was £123.85, which included £106.95 in 5ps.
This week's total is £585.10

16 February 2020Portcullis Lodge Langport present cheque to SURE

On Thursday 13th February George Small, the Worshipful Master of the Freemasons Portcullis Lodge No 2038 based at Langport, Somerset, presented a cheque for SURE for £5,000 to Barrie Palmer, one of the SURE Committee members. 
This was raised at a Charity Ball and Draw held on 12 October 2019 at Somerset Cricket Ground".

25 January 2020Taunton Carnival cheque presentation for 2019 Marathon

The photo shows Roy Hole of SURE (far right) receiving a cheque for £1,000 at the Taunton & District Carnival Committee presentation night on Friday 24th January at the Colin Atkinson Pavilion, Somerset County Cricket Club.

This was from money raised at the 2019 Taunton marathon with SURE the chosen race charity.

The new Taunton Carnival Queen for 2020 and her princess are also in the picture together with the Mayor of Taunton,  Councillor Francesca Smith.

23 January 2020Mike Holman presents cheque to SURE

Today Mike Holman- Master of Admiral Blake Lodge in Bridgwater presented a cheque for £100 to Gail Wills to help SURE keep up the very worthy work they do on behalf of the radiotherapy department at The Beacon Centre Musgrove Park Hospital.

23 January 2020Northern Soul evening for SURE

On Saturday 23rd of November 2019 Bruce Cowd and his wife Dawn, held a Northern Soul Evening at the Blake Hall Bridgwater.
 

The event was a great success and £1630.60 was raised for S.U.R.E.. Santander pledged to match fund resulting in a total of £3130.60.

Our thanks goes out to Bruce and the Bridgwater Charity Soul Nights.


The photo shows Gail Wills from S.U.R.E. on the left being presented, on Thursday 16th January at Santander Bridgwater, with a cheque from Dawn Cowd with the DJ Keith behind them both. Also in the picture either side of Gail and Dawn are members of the bank staff.

Donations this week are £3,130.60 from Bruce Cowd and the Charity Group, Bridgwater Charity Soul Nights raised at a Northern Soul Evening in November at Blake Hall, Bridgwater, the amount raised includes match funding from Santander, Bridgwater, £654.60 from Barleymow's Farm Shop and Restaurant  in Chard raised from a December raffle, £7.75 in 5ps from members of the New Horizon Singers, £15.45 in 5ps from Denis and Rosemary Buckingham of Wiveliscombe, £10 each in lieu of sending Christmas cards from both Tina Travis and Wendy Pattenden and friends, £15 donation from the GWR Ladies Skittles Team, and from collection pots there was £118.76 from Tesco Express, East Reach, £44.60 from Tesco Express Bower, Bridgwater and £43.40 from Tesco Express, North Petherton.  Left at the Beacon Centre was £10 mainly in 5ps, from Hazel Braddick, £127.65, including £92.65 in 5ps in a liquorice jar from Mrs Susan Baker's granddaughter of Rockwell Green and from the Beacon Centre was £129.55 of which £124.45 was in 5ps.
