As a result of a brilliant quiz evening held recently at Victoria Park Bowling Club, Bridgwater and organised once again by member Gail Wills and friends, the club president Colin Gay, was able to present a cheque for £1002 to Carole Summerfield, Treasurer of SURE (Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment) – a Somerset charity which helps the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital by supplying valuable equipment and help with finance towards much larger projects.
Twenty teams of quizzers enjoyed questions from question-master Roger Evans together with refreshments and a great raffle with prizes supplied by local businesses.
