Victoria Park Bowling club held its annual charity quiz in support of the Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment (S.U.R.E.)
This was the ninth year that quizmasters Derek Thorne & Roger Evans managed to challenge the grey matter of over eighty quizzers in twenty teams raising £1,350 for the charity.
Gail Wills, from Victoria Park Bowling Club, organiser and S.U.R.E. fundraiser said the event was a great success, exceeding all expectations and thanked everyone for their support and for the donated raffle prizes. She explained how the money raised will support the work of S.U.R.E. in the provision of new radiotherapy equipment for the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital, which will improve cancer treatment services for the people of Somerset.
